Aurelle + Aesthetics · Client Guide

Your website, made simple

This is your friendly, step-by-step guide to looking after your website yourself. Everything here is safe to do, written in plain English, no tech background needed. Take it one section at a time, and keep this page bookmarked.

Built and supported by your Genaxis team · Keep the bigger changes to us, enjoy the easy wins yourself.

The golden rules

  • You can't break it. Your editor is set to a safe "content" mode. You can change words, swap pictures and update your lists, and nothing else moves.
  • When replacing a photo, just replace the photo. Swap the picture and leave it where it sits. Don't drag, resize or move it.
  • Don't touch the layout. No moving boxes, changing colours, deleting sections or shifting things around. That's our job, and it keeps your site looking right on phones.
  • Don't change your domain or DNS settings. One wrong setting can take the whole site offline. Always call us for anything to do with the web address.
  • When in doubt, message us first. A quick question is always cheaper than an undo.

Everyday edits, in Wix

The simple things you'll do most often. All inside your Wix account.

01Log in to Wix

Everything starts from your Wix account. You only need to do this once on your computer; it remembers you next time.

  1. Open your web browser and go to wix.com
  2. Click Sign In at the top right.
  3. Sign in with the email address your invite was sent to. If you signed up with Google, click Continue with Google instead.
  4. You'll land on My Sites. Click Aurelle + Aesthetics to open it.
Good to knowFrom your site you'll see two buttons that matter: Edit Site (changes how the pages look and read) and Dashboard (your control panel for enquiries, business info and reports). The next section explains which is which.

02The two screens to know

There are only two places you'll ever go. Knowing which is which makes everything else easy.

The Editor

Opened with Edit Site. This is the live look of your pages.
  • Edit wording on a page
  • Replace a photo
  • Page title & description (SEO)
  • Social share image

The Dashboard

Your back-office Dashboard. The business side of things.
  • See enquiries from your forms
  • Update your content lists
  • Business info (address, hours)
  • Visitor reports
The one trick that saves youIn the Dashboard there's a search bar at the very top. Forgotten where something lives? Just type what you want, for example "Forms", "Business info" or "Analytics", and Wix takes you straight there.

03Edit the words on a page

Editor Edit Site
  1. Click Edit Site to open the Editor.
  2. Use the page menu (top of the screen) to go to the page you want, for example Home or About.
  3. Double-click the text you'd like to change. A little text toolbar appears.
  4. Type your new wording. Use the toolbar only for bold or italic if you need it; leave the font and size as they are.
  5. Click an empty area to deselect, then click Publish (top right) to make it live.
Keep it tidyTry to keep new text a similar length to the old text. A heading that's suddenly three times longer can push the design out of shape, especially on phones.
Nothing is live until you PublishYou can change your mind freely. Edits only appear to the public after you click Publish. If you didn't publish, nothing changed.

04Replace a photo (without moving it)

Editor Edit Site

The safe way to refresh a picture: swap the image inside its existing frame so the layout stays exactly as we designed it.

  1. In the Editor, click the photo once to select it.
  2. Click Change Image (or Replace) on the small toolbar that appears.
  3. The Media library opens. Click Upload Media to add a new photo from your computer, then select it.
  4. Click Choose (or Add to Page). Your new photo drops into the same frame.
  5. Click Publish to make it live.
Replace only, pleaseAfter swapping, do not drag the corners or move the image. If the new photo looks oddly cropped, that's normal; click Change ImageAdjust the focal point to recentre it inside the frame. Resizing the frame is a layout change, so leave that to us.
Best photosUse clear, bright, landscape (wide) photos where possible, ideally at least 1600 pixels wide, so they stay sharp on big screens.

05Update a content list (your treatments & reviews)

Dashboard Content Manager

Some parts of your site, like your treatments and client reviews, are powered by a simple list (a bit like a spreadsheet). Update the list and the pages update themselves.

  1. Open the Dashboard, and in the top search bar type "CMS" or "Content Manager", then open it.
  2. You'll see your lists (called collections), for example Services and Reviews. Click the one you want.
  3. It opens like a table. Each row is one item (one treatment, or one review).
  4. To edit: click into any cell and change the wording. To add: click + Add Item and fill in the fields. To remove: tick a row and choose Delete.
  5. Changes save automatically and go live. There's no separate publish for the list.
Adding a new reviewOpen Reviews+ Add Item → fill in the name, the review text and a rating → done. It appears on the site in the same style as the others.
Don't rename the columnsChange what's inside the cells freely. Don't rename or delete the columns themselves (the field names), as the pages rely on them.

06Page title & description (basic SEO)

Editor Page Settings → SEO

This is the title and the grey summary line that show up in a Google search result. Good wording here helps people decide to click.

  1. In the Edit Site Editor, open the Pages menu (top left area) and find the page you want.
  2. Click the next to the page name → Settings.
  3. Choose the SEO tab (sometimes labelled SEO Basics or "Get Found on Google").
  4. Edit the Title tag (aim for under ~60 characters) and the Meta description (aim for ~150 characters). Write naturally, like you're describing the page to a customer.
  5. Close the panel and click Publish.
A simple recipeTitle: what the page is + your clinic + area, e.g. "Customised Facials | Aurelle + Aesthetics, Singapore CBD". Description: one warm sentence on what you offer and an invite to book.
Give Google timeSearch results don't update instantly. It can take a few days to a couple of weeks for Google to show your new wording. That's normal.

07Change the social share image

Editor Page Settings → Social Share

This is the picture that pops up when your link is shared on WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram. A nice one makes your link look professional.

  1. Open the same page Settings as the step above (Pages → Settings).
  2. Choose the Social Share tab.
  3. Under the Facebook / general preview, click the image area and upload or pick a photo.
  4. Use a wide image (about 1200 × 630 pixels) so it isn't cropped awkwardly.
  5. Click Publish.
TipIf a shared link still shows the old image, the social app is remembering it. It refreshes on its own after a little while.

08See your enquiries (form submissions)

Dashboard Forms & Submissions

Every time someone fills in your contact or booking form, it's saved here so nothing slips through.

  1. Open the Dashboard.
  2. In the top search bar, type "Forms" and open Forms & Submissions.
  3. You'll see every enquiry, newest first: name, contact details and their message.
  4. Click any one to read it in full. You can mark it done or export the list if you like.
Two more handy spotsInbox shows messages and chats in one place, and Contacts keeps everyone who's ever enquired. You'll also get an email each time a new enquiry comes in, so you don't have to keep checking.
Reply promptlyThese are real potential clients. A reply within a day makes a big difference to bookings.

09Update your business info

Dashboard Business Info

Your address, phone, email and opening hours live in one place. Update it here and it flows through your site.

  1. Open the Dashboard.
  2. Search "Business Info" in the top bar and open it.
  3. Update your name, address, phone, email and opening hours as needed.
  4. Click Save.
Heads upSome details (like the address shown in a fancy footer or a map) may also be written directly on a page. If you change your address, tell us so we update every spot it appears, including Google.

10View your visitor reports in Wix

Dashboard Analytics & Reports

A friendly overview of how your site is doing, right inside Wix. This is the easiest report to read.

  1. Open the Dashboard.
  2. Search "Analytics" and open Analytics & Reports.
  3. The Overview shows visitors, sessions and your most-viewed pages.
  4. Change the date range (top right) to compare this month with last.
What to look forSite sessions = how many visits. Top pages = what people look at most. Traffic sources = where they came from (Google, Instagram, direct). You don't need to act on these; just enjoy watching the trend.
2

The expert tools (for your understanding)

These are the deeper reporting tools we manage for you. You don't need to do anything here. This is just so you can peek in and understand what we're working on behind the scenes.
Why show you these at all?Because it helps you see the value. These tools take real expertise to set up and read properly, which is exactly why they're part of the support you pay us for. Have a look so it's not a black box, then leave the heavy lifting to us.

11Google Search Console

Google account Sign in with Google

Think of this as Google's view of your site: what people typed into Google to find you, and which of your pages showed up.

  1. Go to search.google.com/search-console
  2. Click Start now and Sign in with Google using your clinic's Google account.
  3. Pick the aurelleaestheticsg.com property.
  4. Open Performance to see clicks, impressions (how often you appeared) and the search terms people used.
In plain wordsImpressions = how many times you showed up in Google. Clicks = how many actually came to you. Queries = the words they searched. Rising numbers mean Google is sending you more people.
Look, don't changeThere are technical settings in here. Please just view the reports. If something needs fixing, that's us.

12Google Analytics

Google account Sign in with Google

Where Search Console is about getting found, Analytics is about what people do once they're on your site: how many visit, on what device, and which pages they spend time on.

  1. Go to analytics.google.com
  2. Sign in with Google using your clinic's Google account.
  3. Choose the Aurelle + Aesthetics property if you're asked.
  4. Open ReportsOverview to see visitors over time, where they came from, and top pages.
In plain wordsUsers = people who visited. Sessions = visits. Engagement = how involved they were. It's normal for this to look more complicated than Wix's own report. That's fine; the Wix Overview (section 10) is all you really need day to day.
A note on cookiesAnalytics only counts visitors who accept cookies on your site, so its numbers can be a little lower than Wix's. Both are working correctly; they just measure slightly differently.

13Your domain name (where the web address lives)

Squarespace Continue with Google

This is the part everyone forgets, so here it is in writing. Your web address, aurelleaestheticsg.com, is not managed in Wix. It lives in a separate domain account.

The short story of where it isYou originally bought the domain through Google Domains. Google later handed its domains business to Squarespace, so your domain automatically moved there. That's why you log in at Squarespace, using your Google account. Nothing went wrong; this happened to everyone with a Google domain.
  1. Go to domains.squarespace.com
  2. Click Continue with Google and use the same Google account you used for Google Domains.
  3. You'll see aurelleaestheticsg.com listed. This is your home for renewals and ownership.
Please don't change settings hereThe domain is connected to your Wix site through technical "DNS" records. Changing them by mistake can take your whole website and email offline. The two things worth doing here are: keep the card on file valid so it auto-renews, and make sure you can still log in. For anything else, call us first.
